Foil Stamping/Letterpress Tour

Bex Brands just completed a business card job for the new Travis Parker Salon in Solana Beach. We were lucky enough to work with Senekeo Embossing & Foil Stamping through In to Ink. We were able to schedule a tour while picking up samples. These are true craftsmen and we can’t thank them enough for the care and effort they put into their work.

Two Restaurants & Bex Brands’ Style

From time to time people ask us, “What is your style?” I enjoy this question as it opens the door to a discussion that explores the difference (and in our opinion the advantage) between us and other design firms.

The difference is well illustrated with some recent work we’ve been doing with two restaurant clients.

At Bex Brands, we research and work with our clients to uncover what makes them unique, special and inviting to their audience and then we create a brand identity that expresses these characteristics in a memorable way. So in other words, our “style” is driven by the soul of our client, not by what we happen to like ourselves. Bex participated in Chairs for Chair’ity

The event was held by client Hold It Contemporary Home, and not only did we design the communication pieces for the event, but we participated! Art and design professionals in the San Diego area are selected to design a chair to be auctioned off to benefit Make-A-Wish.

We had a great time making the chair and helping such a worthy cause. Our chair helped raise raise over $10,000 for Make-A-Wish Foundation of San Diego the event —enough to grant Emily’s wish and that of another child in need!

Here are some photos of the event logo designed by Bex Brands, the original pieces of our creation, our friend Stine Poole who helped construct the piece and Bex in La Jolla with CW San Diego 6′s Ruben Galvan, the final piece and images from the event.

We’re already looking forward to next year!
